North Indian Food

Kashmir, Punjab, Haryana and Uttar Pardesh are the North Indian states. Mostly all dishes in Kashmir are prepared with rice which is found abundantly in this beautiful valley. The another cooked here is 'Saag', which is the most popular dish of Punjab. 'Saag' is prepared with green leafy vegetable known as the 'Hak'. Punjabi food is consist of delicious gravy and punjabi parathas cooked in ghee and butter. the famous dishes are Saag, Makki di roti(chapatis), Lassi, Dal Makhni and Matar paneer. In Uttar Pardesh and Haryana all is same as in Punjab. Variety of flours are used to make chapatis such as Wheat, Rice, Besan, Maida etc. Tandoori chapati, Naan and Rumali are the famous dishes in Haryana and Uttar Pardesh.
